Nigeria Commends China’s Commitment to Global Industrial Cooperation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the successful participation of Nigeria in the Seminar on Industrial Cooperation and New Industrialization under the Global Development Initiative, organized by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, from 19th March to 1st April 2026.
Speaking at the joint closing ceremony of the seminar, Mr. Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Nigeria, delivered a statement on behalf of the Nigerian delegation and fellow participants, commending the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the management of AIBO for what he described as an intellectually enriching and transformative programme.
Mr. Ebienfa conveyed profound appreciation to the Vice President and staff of AIBO for organizing the high-level seminar, while also acknowledging the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Abuja for facilitating the nomination and sponsorship of Nigerian participants. He noted that the seminar provided an exceptional platform for capacity building, strategic learning, and international exchange.
According to the Spokesperson, from the moment of arrival in Beijing, participants were received with exceptional hospitality and provided with a conducive environment for learning and professional engagement. He emphasized that the quality of the lectures, the expertise of the distinguished faculty, and the carefully curated study visits significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of China’s remarkable industrial transformation and modernization trajectory.
A major highlight of the programme, he stated, was the exposure to China’s industrial development model through visits to strategic national landmarks and industrial hubs. These included the Great Wall of China, the Museum of the Communist Party of China, the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), and the Suzhou-Changshu Economic and Technological Development Zone (CEDZ).
