AMB. BIANCA ODUMEGWU-OJUKWU, HELD A BILATERAL MEETING WITH AMB. TÉTE ANTÓNIO, THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF REPUBLIC OF ANGOLA.

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola, Ambassador Téte António, on the sidelines of the ongoing African Union Executive Council Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Nigeria–Angola relations. Discussions focused on mutual support for the candidatures of both countries in international organisations, peace and security on the African continent, enhanced collaboration through exchange study visits, and preparations for the Extraordinary Session of the African Union Assembly scheduled to hold in Luanda, Angola, from 29–30 August 2026.

The two Ministers also discussed visa issuance for Nigerians travelling to Angola for business and tourism and agreed on the need to facilitate easier movement of people between the two countries. They further discussed other issues of mutual interest aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing shared African priorities.
