The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Adamu Ibrahim Lamuwa represented by Ambassador Samson Itegboje, Director (PRS) participated at the 2023 Annual Conference/Lecture of the Association of Foreign Relations Professionals of Nigeria (AFRPN) held at the Rotunda, MFA on Thursday, 27th July, 2023.

The Chairman of the occasion was H.E. Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCON, GCVO. The Royal Father of the Day was His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto. The President of AFRPN, Ambassador Gani Lawal delivered the welcome address.

The Guest Lecturer, H.E. Thabo Mbeki, former President of South Africa participated virtually and spoke on the topic: “Examining the Nexus Between Foreign Policy Goals and Democratic Governance “.

Other participants were senior government officials and Diplomats.
