The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, received the Director-General of Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub,\u00a0 the courtesy call was to intimate the ministry on recent activities and milestones achieved by the Agency.<\/div>\n

NTAC was established in 1987 to share Nigeria\u2019s technical expertise and professional skills with developing countries, particularly within Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. The Corps operates under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/div>\n

The Agency, under the very capable and dynamic leadership of Rt Hon Buba Yakub has been very effective as a foreign policy platform to promote South\u2013South cooperation by exporting technical skills, fostering diplomatic relations, and supporting human capital development abroad.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

There are close to 400 TAC volunteers from Nigeria serving across Africa, the Caribbean and the pacific.<\/div>\n
