Petr Macinka, Czech Republic Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) in New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Focus Areas were on expanding trade, investment, industry, infrastructure, technology, and innovation. Nigeria is the Czech Republic&#8217;s second-largest trading partner in Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They also discussed strengthening collaboration in security and defence partnerships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nigeria and the Czech Republic are pursuing a Joint Commission framework to coordinate sectors like capacity building, technical training, technology transfer, as well as boosting political dialogue through regular ministry consultations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A vital topic they deliberated on was facilitating educational scholarships for Nigerian students and expanding opportunities for Nigerian researchers in Czech institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visa mobility was also a key issue, as well as climate action, mutual support arrangements for their candidatures in multilateral fora and United Nations reforms.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, met with H.E.
