In Berlin, Nigeria and Germany renewed their commitment to deepen cooperation in power, security, trade, migration, and culture under the Nigeria\u2013Germany Bi-National Commission (BNC), a milestone that coincides with 65 years of diplomatic relations between both nations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The session reflected the enduring friendship and shared vision that define our partnership: one anchored on innovation, trust, and people-centered development.<\/div>\n

Alongside my German counterpart, Minister Johann Wadephul, and senior officials from both governments, we reviewed ongoing collaborations and identified new pathways that align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s 4D Doctrine; Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora.<\/div>\n
President @officialasiwajubat\u2019s reform-driven agenda continues to strengthen Nigeria\u2019s global competitiveness and position our diplomacy as an engine for economic growth.<\/div>\n

Bilateral trade between both nations reached \u20ac3 billion (\u20a62.95 trillion) in 2024, affirming Germany as Nigeria\u2019s second-largest European trading partner. We agreed to expand cooperation beyond hydrocarbons into ICT, automotive assembly, and agro-industrial exports. I also noted that Nigeria\u2019s removal from the FATF Grey List has boosted investor confidence and reduced transaction risks, signaling renewed credibility in our financial reforms.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
