The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Angola have signed two agreements consisting of Cooperation on combating Illicit Production, Manufacture and Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and and their precursors – Drug Law as well as on Cultural Cooperation and Exchange.<\/div>\n
The event took place on Thursday, September 11, at the 5th Session of the Nigeria-Angola Bilateral Economic Joint Commission in Luanda.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu signed for Nigeria while the Angolan Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Domingos Custodio Vieira Lopes, signed on behalf of his country.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In addition, the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri and the his counterpart of Namibe Province, Augusto Archer de Sousa Mangueira, respectively, signed the Twinning Agreement between Bayelsa State, Nigeria and the Province of Namibe, Angola.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Other Memoranda of Understanding already fine-tuned were slated for signing in due course.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
