On the margins of #WEF26 in Davos, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar met with Jared Cohen, President of Global Affairs at @goldmansachs, for a strategic dialogue on how geopolitics, information integrity, energy security, and artificial intelligence are reshaping investor confidence and sovereign risk perception.
They discussed Nigeria’s reform momentum, regional leadership role, and the importance of aligning market narratives with reform realities, particularly in West Africa, where stability is an investment variable. Ambassador Tuggar outlined Nigeria’s focus on anticipatory governance through our AI Unit, the Regional Partnership for Democracy, long-horizon energy and gas infrastructure that supports transition realism and regional integration.
This engagement reflected a shared interest in moving the Nigeria–Goldman relationship beyond episodic financing toward deeper collaboration anchored in foresight, data, and long-term value creation.
