The 5th session of the Nigeria-Angola Bilateral Joint Economic Commission began on Tuesday, September 9, in Luanda, the capital of Angola.
The historic event slated to end on Friday, September 12 will witness the signing of at least 15 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) covering various areas including economic and technical cooperation, technical manpower assistance, migration partnership, consular issues, policing and security, defence and intelligence, fight against illicit drugs and others.
Leader of Nigeria’s delegation and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu and the Angolan Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Domingos Custodio Vieira Lopes are optimistic that the signing of the instruments would deepen bilateral ties between both countries.
