The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf M. Tuggar (OON) received in audience a team of 18 Scholars from the Schwarzman Scholars Programme at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, led by Ms. Tami Austen-Peters today 2nd May, 2024.
The Schwarzman Scholars Programme affords selected scholars from different countries the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through a fully-funded one-year Master’s degree in Global Affairs. It is also designed to build a global community of future Leaders who will strengthen understanding between their countries and China as well as with the rest of the world.
The Honourable Minister welcomed the Team and informed them about the 4-Ds Foreign Policy thrust (Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora) of the Nigerian Government. He further enlightened them about Nigeria’s history, culture and development drive.
