The ECOWAS Youth and Sports Development Centre (EYSDC) is pleased to announce the Third Edition of the ECOWAS Abuja International Marathon, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 1st March 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria.

This year’s marathon is a special event, as it forms part of the activities to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The competition will feature two categories:

• 21km Semi-Marathon
• 5km Fun Run

Prizes will be awarded to the top five male and female runners in the 5km race, while all other participants will receive medals and certificates of participation.
